Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's Doctor Strange Connection
Hey guys, Jacob from DJS here, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was awesome! SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD, FOR COMICS, DOCTOR STRANGE(MCU), AND GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2! StartFragmentDuring multiple End Credits scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy, we get another look at Sylvester Stallone's Stakar Ogord and his circle of Ravagers. Those older Ravagers are, in fact, the MCU version of the original Guardians of the Galaxy comic book team (from the 70s); along with them, we get appearances from some other weird Guardians comic book characters - and one of the final characters we meet is Krugarr. The big Marvel Movie connection here is that, in the comics, Krugarr was discovered and trained by none other than a future version of Doctor Strange! Krugarr became the Sorcerer Supreme of his future era, mastering mystic arts and even doing battle with the like of Dormammu. In the MCU, Krugarr is a CGI alien who doesn't yet have a voice actor, but clearly displayed mystical ability in his brief post-credits scene cameo, as he moves his hands and generates the sort of visual effects for spellcasting that we saw in the Doctor Strange movie.

So what does it mean that an alien being is also trained in the same mystic arts as Earth's protectors? Future MCU movies (and maybe TV shows?) will have to answer that mystery...
